Latest News on Combat Wounded Care Residences
We are pleased to announce the groundbreaking of Dunham House, a new assisted living facility dedicated to serving combat-wounded veterans. Located off 60th and State Streets, this facility is set to provide a supportive community for younger veterans in need of specialized care.
The concept for Dunham House began in 2003, inspired by Colonel John Folsom’s experiences in Iraq. The project aims to offer veterans a place where they are understood and cared for by those who share similar experiences. As families age, the need for such a community becomes more critical.
Thanks to generous donations, the land is fully paid for, and $8 million has already been secured for construction. The facility is entirely funded by contributions, and continued support is vital to ensuring its success.
