Dunham House Community Meeting: Building a Future for Our Heroes
We’re excited to share a glimpse into our recent Dunham House Community Meeting, a significant step forward in our mission to support severely injured veterans. Led by John from Project Advocates, alongside Colonel Folsom from Dunham House and Kate McCauley from Wounded Warrior Family Support, the meeting laid out our vision for Dunham House—a serene community designed to provide a dignified lifestyle for veterans.
Located at 60th and Craig, the Dunham House site is carefully chosen to blend with Omaha’s natural beauty, preserving its lush trees while offering a peaceful environment for residents. The facility will feature 30 thoughtfully designed one-bedroom units, a commercial-grade kitchen, and communal spaces to foster a strong sense of community among residents. There is also potential for future expansion to accommodate more veterans.
Our selection process ensures that deserving veterans will have the opportunity to live here, with funding supported by a portion of their VA disability benefits. We believe in creating a home-like atmosphere where veterans can thrive together.
The support from our community is invaluable, and we invite you to join us on this journey. Open houses will be held to welcome you into the Dunham House family. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who have sacrificed so much for our freedom.
Thank you for your continued support! Let’s make it happen!!
