Dunham House is excited to announce a partnership with Omaha-based CrossMed to ensure top-quality medical staffing for our transformative facility dedicated to combat-wounded veterans. Scheduled to open in fall 2026, Dunham House will offer long-term residential care for veterans, emphasizing dignity and independence.
CrossMed, known for connecting healthcare professionals with travel assignments across the nation, will bring their expertise to Dunham House. Their commitment to core values such as humility, accountability, and relentlessness aligns perfectly with our mission to provide exceptional care to veterans.
Kate McCauley, CEO and President of Wounded Warriors Family Support, highlighted the importance of this partnership, stating, “CrossMed embodies the attributes we seek in partners before our veterans move into Dunham House.”
Set on a scenic 40-acre site in north Omaha, the $13.9 million project will house 30 veterans in a 27,500 square foot complex. The facility will feature assisted living-style apartments and specialized units for those with greater physical needs. Residents will enjoy community-focused spaces, including a great room, dining area, fitness center, and memorial plaza.
Dunham House is part of the programming and operational scope of the Omaha-based nonprofit Wounded Warriors Family Support. Community involvement is encouraged through a donation program, with $25 a month helping to build this essential facility.
