Latest News on Combat Wounded Care Residences
A new residence, The Dunham House, is set to be built on an 8-acre property near 60th and Craig Streets in Omaha. This privately funded 27,000-square-foot facility will provide a home for 30 combat-wounded veterans from Nebraska and across the country. Spearheaded by John Folsom, a veteran, and Kate McCauley of Wounded Warriors Family Support, the project aims to offer a dignified living space for veterans who may no longer have family to care for them. Inspired by the sacrifice of Marine Jason Dunham, the residence hopes to break ground in 2025 and open by Memorial Day 2026. Click below to watch the full segment on KMTV 3.
