Make it Happen
"The best idea in the world, without the proper resources put behind it, is nothing more than a hallucination."
-Colonel Ed Lesnowicz, USMC
The Difference That We Can Make Together
Supporting our troops is about more than a pat on the back or a bumper sticker; it requires action. We know that The Dunham House will tremendously affect the lives of combat-wounded veterans, but we need your help. The land has been purchased, and construction is slated to begin in September 2024. Your generous donation will help us to keep the momentum going and meet our goal of opening and welcoming residents in May 2026.
Changing the Lives of Veterans
Your donation will directly affect the lives of combat-wounded veterans like Staff Sergeant Jason Ross, USMC. On March 7, 2011, while on patrol in Afghanistan, Jason stepped on an undetected IED. The impact of the blast caused severe and extensive injuries to the lower half of his body, and Jason now lives as a double amputee.
Currently, Jason is being cared for by his parents. While he is lucky to have their support, he and his family understand that a place like The Dunham House would offer him and other combat-wounded veterans a more independent life and greater security for their futures.
We Appreciate and Are Honored To Have Your Support
In recognition of your donation of over $250, you will receive an 18″ x 24″ print of “No Greater Love Semper Fidelis” by Michael Hagel.
“No Greater Love, Semper Fidelis”
I love it. I love the Medal of Honor over his left shoulder, the flag behind the clouds, battalion patches, and the Marine Corps Memorial under Jason. Mike even got his left ear, which never stood up correctly but was such an integral part of him and his personality. I think Jason would like this one…
Thank you. – Deb Dunham
